Hydrasun is proud to announce that we have been recognised with the Silver Award under the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme, marking a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community.
The Silver Award reflects that Hydrasun not only champions the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant, but actively delivers on them. This includes ensuring that serving personnel, veterans, reservists, and their families are treated with fairness and respect, and are not disadvantaged in employment or career progression.
At Hydrasun, we recognise the unique skills, values, and experiences that members of the Armed Forces bring to the workplace. Through inclusive recruitment practices, supportive workplace policies, and a strong focus on transition into civilian careers, we are committed to helping veterans and reservists thrive within the energy sector.
Our support extends beyond recruitment. We actively accommodate the commitments of reservists, provide flexibility around training and deployment, and foster an inclusive working environment for military families. This commitment is further strengthened through our Hydrasun Community Forces Network, which brings together veterans, reservists, cadet volunteers, and allies to provide peer support, networking, and awareness across the business.
Iain Lee, IAR Operations Manager:
“As a veteran myself, I understand the transition journey—the pitfalls, frustrations, and uncertainty that can come with it. At Hydrasun, we strive to treat service leavers, reservists, cadets (including volunteers), and their families fairly, while recognising that the skills and experience they bring are vital in any civilian role. Our growing Forces Network plays an important role in supporting and developing new starters as they begin their careers with us.”
Craig Gorman, Recruitment Lead:
“At Hydrasun, we recognise the attributes and values that ex-Forces personnel bring to our organisation. We are committed to providing service leavers with a platform to showcase their skills, while also offering opportunities to develop new ones—supporting them in building long, rewarding careers within our business.”
Achieving Silver Award status is an important step in our Armed Forces Covenant journey and reinforces our commitment to building a workplace that values dedication, resilience, and teamwork—qualities that strongly align with both Hydrasun’s culture and the Armed Forces community.
We remain committed to strengthening our initiatives, deepening our support, and continuing to give back to those who serve, have served, and their families.
