I am the facilities coordinator for Hydrasun and have been employed here since 2019.

After working with a local authority for 25 years, I was concerned that my skills may not be transferable but I need not have worried as my line manager shared his knowledge of the organisation and its processes that allowed my role to evolve seamlessly.

Within my role, I have core tasks which l carry out on a daily basis, but I have to be adaptable to react to different circumstances that may arise.

I am involved with all members of staff within the organisation and am also the first point of call for most of the contractors that carry out to work on site. And find the staff at Hydrasun to be very approachable, friendly and I enjoy a great working atmosphere.

The Management team instil a culture of progression within the company. They are very happy to put you onto courses to benefit your role within the organisation.

My knowledge of working within oil and gas has allowed me to understand the position that Hydrasun hold in the industry and the importance of their presence and products. I am happy to be a part of Hydrasun success and I look forward to seeing what the future holds.

I join Hydrasun as the Integrity, Assurance & Reliability Operations Manager, having left the forces in 2012 and working in the energy industry since. Working in the office with likeminded and focused people to support clients demands for Flexible Hose Assemblies (FHA) and Smallbore Tubing (SBT) surveys and repairs is very rewarding and challenging in equal amounts. The offshore team work ad-hoc rather than on rotas so their schedule is very fluid depending on the client requests and the weather, but they also have the opportunity for personal development. Since joining the company, I have also completed training in both fields and been able to establish the company’s commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant, supported by my line manager and management."

I joined the company as a Technical Team member, using my skills in Engineering to help grow capabilities. My greatest achievement with Hydrasun comes in the transition of the Hydrasun North East of England business, supporting the development and construction of our latest facility in Thornaby on Tees, identifying future leaders within the team promoting and recruiting to develop an unparalleled Technical Services Team and workshop facility.

"I've been part of the Hydrasun family for 13.5 years, starting my journey in Operations in Aberdeen back in 2011. Over the years, I've advanced through various roles within the company and completed a Graduate Apprenticeship in Business Management at RGU in 2022, with mentorship from our CEO.

During my studies, I developed a passion for the energy transition, contributing to the company's strategy development in the wind, LNG, and hydrogen sectors. For the past four years, I've served as the Hydrogen Sales and Marketing Manager, focusing on the delivery of market analysis, strategy development, and strategic marketing communications for the n division.
