Compliance

All Hydrasun Integrity Management programmes are compliant with industry regulations to help our customers to prevent hydrocarbon releases and the loss of primary containment thus increasing safety, environmental performance and overall lifecycle costs of the asset.

Competence

Flexible Hose Register

The Hydrasun Integrity Management Division has over 70 trained and competent personnel who provide inspection services, project management, technical support and contract management.  All of our surveyor competence is assured and verified through Hydrasun's OPITO, ECITB, SVQ Accredited Learning and Competency Management System.  Hydrasun also ensures our personnel are competent to work with OEM components.

A fundamental building block to creating a suitable and transparent integrity management system is a policy and strategy, built on industry recognised guidelines and best practice.  Hydrasun works closely with customers to develop processes and procedures required to effectively implement maintenance strategies for Flexible Hose Assemblies (FHA) and Small Bore Tubing (SBT) therefore assuring our customers that work completed by Hydrasun complies with industry and their in-house processes, procedures and guidelines.

Assurance (Hydralink)

Flexible Hose Replacement Frequencies

The Hydrasun Integrity Management (HIMS) Database is a web based customer interface tool, accessible through our Hydralink system.  A powerful reporting tool, the Hydrasun Integrity Management database (HIMS) can be configured to interface with customer's internal business systems including flexible hose registers, small bore tubing registers and instrumentation registers.  It is an effective solution for the management of Small Bore Tubing (SBT) and Flexible Hose Assemblies (FHA) data gathered during inspection services.

With the data managed by Hydralink, inspection surveys facilitate:

  • Control and management of survey data
  • Analysis of individual or multiple site inspection surveys
  • Status reports and cross installation comparisons
  • Failure trends and historical analysis
  • Strategic decision making
  • Efficient forward planning
  • Management of flexible hose replacement frequencies

Risk Based Inspection

Risk Bases Inspection

Risk Based Inspection (RBI) processes and procedures enable our customers to efficiently plan and budget inspection services and replacement frequencies for Flexible Hose Assemblies (FHA) and Small Bore Tubing (SBT).  This process allows for Consequence of Failure and Probability of Damage considerations to be assessed and a risk profile allocated to each FHA and SBT.  Therefore, ensuring the appropriate inspection services and replacement frequency is completed, based on risk.

Hydrasun’s experience in Flexible Hose Assemblies (FHA) and Small Bore Tubing (SBT) Integrity Management allows us to deliver this process to our customers, enabling them to agree the appropriate level of risk associated with their assets, implement this through the Hydrasun Management process and deliver and demonstrate the Risk Based Inspection (RBI) process outputs via Hydrasun’s Hydralink reporting tool.

In order monitor flexible hose replacement frequencies and to comply with current Flexible Hose Assembly (FHA) and Small Bore Tubing (SBT) Energy Institute Guidelines, Hydrasun’s Integrity Management procedure and Hydralink reporting tool provide an auditable process and web based reporting tool.  This system delivers customer agreed Risk Based Inspection (RBI) classifications against which inspection frequency and assembly replacement can be scheduled.

Our Hydralink reporting tool also delivers a ‘look ahead’ plan for flexible hose replacement frequencies on specific assets, enabling effective and efficient planning for future inspection services and assembly replacement strategies.

This ensures our clients are assessing each entry in their flexible hose register and small bore tubing register against industry guidelines or in-house / procedures.  This also ensures their return on investment is focused on higher risk areas, while retaining visibility and appropriate actions on lower risk areas.

The Hydralink reporting tool also enables risk categories to be assessed and the opportunity to present mitigation processes to reduce risk classification, extend periods between inspection & replacement and therefore deliver additional cost reductions.
