December 2006 - The Hydrasun Taste Trail

On Thursday 23rd November, Hydrasun hosted its second Wine Tasting Evening at Rendezvous at Nargile on Forest Avenue, Aberdeen. Over 40 wine enthusiasts from across our customer base followed the Hydrasun Taste Trail, led by approved member of the Wine and Spirit Education Trust and Circle of Wine Writers, Carol Brown.

The Taste Trail commenced with refreshing White wines from Spain and Chile, moved to Germany and France for some delicious Rose’s and rounded off with full bodied Reds from the USA and Australia, showing excellent examples of the Pinot Noir and Shiraz grape. Throughout the evening, Carol provided tuition on how to spot the vintage & characteristics of each wine and how to determine the grape varieties used in the wine making process. To accompany the wine the Nargile served a delicious Meze style meal.

Following another very successful evening, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all, attendees left with a greater knowledge and appreciation of the finer aspects of wine tasting.
