Hydrasun Raise Money For CPA

On Sunday 3rd September, Hydrasun Aberdeen held a Summer Barbeque for staff and their families at the Old Mill Inn, Maryculter.

Over 220 people attended and enjoyed a number of activities including a mass company sponsored walk in-keeping with our commitment to SHAW, falconry demonstrations, laser clay pigeon shooting, a bouncy castle and an inflatable assault course. As part of the days’ events, attendees were invited to nominate a charity to receive all funds raised from the sale of raffle tickets. All nominations were put into a draw and the Aberdeen & District Cerebral Palsy Association, Hydrasun Stock Controller Jim Shearer’s nominated charity, was pulled from the hat.

Chairman of the Aberdeen & District Cerebral Palsy Association, Colin Taylor collected the cheque for the £300.00 from Hydrasun’s Jim Shearer and Keith Walton, events team member. He thanked Hydrasun for its support and added “We are a local charity, as our name describes, run by a volunteer committee with a low cost base, therefore almost every pound we raise or receive from donations such as this goes to help those in need as a result of Cerebral Palsy – young and adult, individuals or families.”

Hydrasun is delighted to have been able to support this local charity in its commitment to help those in need.
