October 2005 - Firemaster 16D - the Best in Firesafe Flexible Hose Solutions

For over 20 years, Hydrasun has supplied Firesafe Hose Assemblies for a range of applications, including BOP's, Wellhead Control and other production critical equipment, which require a level of classification higher than that of the standard flexible hose construction.

During this time Hydrasun has worked hard to continuously improve our range of Firesafe products in line with the high level of technical integrity essential for compliance with and accreditation to the appropriate standards and prevailing HSE requirements within the Oil and Gas industry.

Accordingly, and in direct response to our customer's needs, we have introduced the Firemaster 16D range of hoses. The Firemaster 16D offers a light-weight, compact and flexible solution for Firesafe Applications and is exclusive to Hydrasun. The range has been specifically developed to meet the stringent requirements of the API 16D standard and Lloyds Register's Fire Tests for Flexible Hoses on Offshore Installations OD 1000/499. Indeed, the Firemaster 16D has been independently tested to 1,100 Degrees C for 5 minutes, exceeding both of these standards.

For your information, the Firemaster 16D fully complies with the API 16D specification without the need for a protective jacket. However, on request, an additional stainless steel armoured jacket can be supplied.
