Overview

A central theme of the development of Hydrasun as an organisation over the past 28 years has been successful delivery of practical, customer focussed innovation in our product and service offerings.

Technical innovation has taken the form of the application engineering of standard products, through in-house design and manufacture, to match the most challenging of Customer ‘non-standard’ requirements.

Innovation in Customer support has led to the development service products which have broken new ground in the commercial and technical performance of supplied products and assemblies under life-cycle focussed frame agreements with key customers.

Hydrasun has been innovative in the area of component design to accommodate specific demands of customers, including:

Air Hose Swivel Fitting

New design with integral safety check to prevent hose whip in the event of failure.

Accepted as an industry standard.

Divers Bail Out Whip Fitting

New fitting designed to give improved retention and pressure rating.

Accepted by the diving industry.

One Piece Bulk Loading hose fitting

Designed to eliminate the need for Taper Threaded connections. New swaging design to give superior swaging control and fitting retention. DNV type approval achieved.

Pile Driving Hose Fittings

Fittings upgraded to withstand the severe pressure impulse shocks involved in this application.

Internal Support Sleeves

New design to prevent hose from collapsing in deep water applications.

Grout Hose Fittings

Special new design hose fitting to withstand high tensile loads without pull – off.

Fire Rated Hose And Fittings

New fitting concept with specially developed hose to meet the Lloyds requirements for offshore fire safe hoses. New range of quick release couplings to suit. Lloyds type approval achieved.

Water Blast Fittings

New concept fittings designed to withstand the severe pressures involved in this application. Hose manufacturers approval gained.

Encapsulation Of Sub Sea Hoses

New concept encapsulation of sub sea hydraulic hose assemblies to prevent water ingress.
General acceptance for use on Blow Out Preventors.

Bulk Hose Lifting Collar

New concept lifting collar, designed to allow a lifting shackle to be connected directly to a hose fitting, without the risk of failure due to high bending stresses incurred with the standard hose lifting hook.

Large Diameter Hose Fittings

Swage fittings designed and developed for hose up to 10 ins diameter.

Corrosion Protection For Severe Environment Hose

Special over-sleeving methods developed to protect metallic hose assemblies from corrosion.

Adaptors

Hydraulic adaptors designed to suit all hose fittings and pressure ranges.
