In-House Manufacturing
Overview
Hydrasun’s Manufacturing Division (HMD) is based in Aviemore in the Highlands of Scotland. The factory has been in place for almost 30 years starting off as Aviemore Engineering in 1976 and becoming Highland Components in 1978. From this time, the factory began a relationship with Hydrasun which resulted in it becoming part of the Hydrasun organisation in 1982 when HMD Aviemore was formed.
Significant investment was made in the factory at that time including an expansion of the factory to 15,000 square feet. The factory today has 30 employees and provides both stock items for the Hydrasun organisation as well as manufactured specials for Hydrasun’s customers.

Design and machining is to BS EN ISO 9001 2000 quality accreditation standard.

Continuity of research and development, in conjunction with leading European hydraulic hose manufacturers, ensures conformance to specification. In-House pressure testing facilities provides support for the development programme.
Many specialist materials such as AISI 316L BS970 Part 1 316 S11 Stainless Steel and other materials, such as aluminium bronze, phosphor bronze, brass, duplex & PH17/4 stainless steel, hastelloy, inconel, monel and titanium are stocked in flat, hexagon and round bar and also a number of forgings. This allows Hydrasun to respond effectively to most manufacturing requirements. Any more exotic materials can be sourced and manufactured to requirements.

Short-run non-standard items can also be produced within the priority part production cell located at the Hydrasun manufacturing facility.
