Hydrasun Experiences Increased Demand For Umbilicals Products

Hydrasun has announced a major ramp up in demand for its umbilicals products.  The company announced the news as it exhibits at the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston (April 30 – May 3). UK Minister for Trade & Investment Lord Green is due to visit the stand (Number 1975/6) on the Tuesday of the show with Chief Executive of Scottish Enterprise, Lena Wilson.

The umbilicals and subsea connectors department has reported a 50% increase in sales for this financial year compared to the 2011 financial year. For the year ended 31 March 2011, the department recorded approximately £6million in sales, which has risen to around £9million for the full year to 31 March 2012.  The upsurge in demand has resulted in an increase in staff numbers in the department from 19 in the same period last year to 34 currently.
